Becky Price is passionate about helping individuals, families, and business owners plan for the future with confidence and clarity. As the founder of Ibis Legacy Law, Becky brings a wealth of knowledge and a caring touch to every client relationship. She believes that there is no substitute for proper legal planning to protect loved ones. Becky has vast experience working with individuals and families at all stages of life who share a long-term vision of ensuring the financial security of their loved ones, their pets, or their favorite charities.
Becky is proud to hold the Accredited Estate Planner® (AEP®) designation, awarded by the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils. This credential is reserved for professionals who meet rigorous requirements of education, experience, knowledge, reputation, and character, and it signifies a deep commitment to the collaborative, team-based approach to estate planning. Earning the AEP® designation distinguishes Becky among her peers and affirms her dedication to delivering the highest standard of estate planning services to her clients.
Her approach is deeply rooted in her belief that every client deserves personalized, high-quality legal counsel. She understands that planning for the future can feel overwhelming, and she’s here to make it as seamless and stress-free as possible.
Becky also works with families addressing the financial complications stemming from the loss of a loved one. She provides expert guidance to families navigating the estate administration process, whether the assets must be administered through the Probate Court, a Trust, or directly with a financial institution. Becky has seen firsthand how overwhelming the probate process can be. She has provided clients with sound legal advice to allow them to address issues such as estates with multiple financial accounts, life insurance policies, real estate, a small business, debts, and other complexities. Providing clients with the necessary legal assistance during such difficult times motivates Becky every day.
Becky received her Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and Spanish from the University of Rochester in 1999, then spent a year teaching English in Santiago, Chile. She earned her law degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2003 and was sworn in by the Ohio Supreme Court to practice law that same year. Becky began her legal career working at the Cleveland law firm of Thompson Hine. Thereafter, she served as a judicial staff attorney at the Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas, first for Judge Peggy Foley Jones, and later for Judge John J. Russo. Becky built her estate planning and probate practice as an attorney with Gallup & Burns from 2007 through 2015. She is also Of Counsel to The Law Office of Mark L. Hoffman, LLC.
Beyond the office, Becky is a devoted mom and an active member of her community. She enjoys traveling, spending time outdoors hiking and walking along the beach, doing yoga, and gardening. These days, with an active high school daughter, her primary focus is cheering her on in soccer and lacrosse games!
